The complexity of the systems and the detail make for an incredibly satisfying survival experience in which you work your way up from basic knapped flint and stone tools all the way up to steel and wind power and basic automation. The entirety of the survival gamemode itself was coded entirely using the modding framework to give you an idea of what's possible.įor people who haven't heard of or played TFC, it was a minecraft mod that focused on making minecraft's survival gameplay as immersive and detailed as feasible for gameplay. In it's current state it is almost on par with terrafirmacraft for content and is built from the ground up with modding in a proper engine that isn't java. Honestly if you were a fan of terrafirmacraft back in the day, you don't even need to bother reading this further, go check out their website and watch the trailer (this trailer is 2 years out of date, even more content has been added and they are working on a new one with their next major update).
It is a voxel survival game based on an old mod from minecraft called terrafirmacraft (TFC) with lovecraftian elements and incredibly immersive and in depth systems. The content and depth to the mechanics in this game in it's current state still puts minecraft to shame even with minecraft having over twice the development time and an inhumane budget. This game is in early access still, has been for at least 5 years and likely will be for more years to come.
